Letter to McClain From Mom-March 24, 2021

Hi McClain, I have been thinking so much about your letter, I loved it! I loved that you have been studying your patriarchal blessing. What a special time in your life to be able to focus on such important and amazing things! I remember when you had your blessing and thinking that Heavenly Father truly has amazing things in store for you. I have been looking for my blessing and can't seem to find it at the moment. But I remember that in mine it states that my children will be stalwart examples of the Gospel. I have remembered that my entire life as I have raised all of you. I have known that you would each have a special witness and testimony of your Savior and Father in Heaven. I have always felt that part of my mission on this earth was to share my testimony with you kids. I love that you were able to feel such a strong spirit at the Baptism you went to. I have always loved to attend Primary Baptisms or any Baptism for that matter. The spirit is always so strong.

March 22- Email to Mom and Dad

McClain Easton Mar 22, 2021, 3:28 PM to me, Michael Hey! It has been about a month since I have sent an email to the two of you, and have been thinking a lot this week that I would really like to, and share what made this week so good. Every day in personal study this week, I took about 20 minutes to study my patriarchal blessing, and to find scriptures to cross reference and looked up several of the topics in the topical guide. I was particularly impressed by some of the following things: It mentions several times one of my greatesg purposes here is to develop my own witness, thru experience, of the power of the gospel, and to share that to bring about the gathering of Israel. Prayer and my personal relationship with heavenly father are consistently highlighted. It outlines that I will have charity as I seek to pray and put my energy into it. This week, I found that charity for the people we serve motivates me to work. I am growing to love our branch, and Jose, and because of

Hey everyone hows it going? Not a ton to report on this week, as things have slowed down pretty substantially around here, so we have some serious work to do to start being more effective with our members, but we were able to invite our friend Jose to be baptized on April 3rd, which we are super excited about! He is an older man from El Salvador, and hilarious to talk to, he always just makes fun of himself for how much he forgets, and crazy enough he runs for like 2 hours in the mornings, and he is 80! He is a beast. This week I have been loving 1 Nephi, such an awesome story about how when we put our trust in God, he will empower us and give us the strength we need. I am learning this to be true in my own life right now, that I need help to be a good missionary. Heavenly father is anxious to bless us if we just reach out to him, through prayer and reading the scriptures, or through simply following the example of the savior and showing love to others! We also cranked thru like 4

Happy Sunday McClain-March 7, 2021

Happy Sunday McClain - I hope you have had a great week. It is now Sunday morning and I wanted to send a letter to you. I have read and re-read your letter several times this week and am so proud of you for all you are doing as a missionary and your righteous desires. I know that as you continue to put your hope and faith in your Heavenly Father that he will bless you and your "burdens" will become light. You are already experiencing some of that relief and it can come more and more as you use the tools your mission president has shared with you and the counselor you are getting a chance to visit with. I loved the verses you shared with us from Moroni 7. All of that book from the Book of Mormon is great and I remember reading many verses from there, particularly from Moroni 7, 8 and 10 with members and those we were teaching in Brasil as a missionary. I know that God loves each one of us, and especially you. He has called you as his representative to be a missio

March 1, 2021

Hey! I know I will be calling in a few hours, but I figured I would send an email update of some of the highlights of my week. The first thing, mom asked me to keep track of what I was excited for the next day every night, so I wrote that down in my journal before bed. I had a handful of nignts when I was really looking forward to my workput in the morning and a great personal study, and it always turned out to be awesome. I also often had a lesson to note that I knew would happen and be really enjoyable. We had exchanges with the DL on fridag, and I went with his companion, which we weren't very edcited for (elder cannon and I), as it was really boring and I had to leave the area, but I did decide to look forward to my morning, and that made the day more bearable. I felt like I had things to smile about most days, and I was also more present, which allowed me to enjoy this week more. I am going to do this for a while, because it seems to be helping so far. I also started sta
