Letter to McClain From Mom-March 24, 2021

Hi McClain, I have been thinking so much about your letter, I loved it! I loved that you have been studying your patriarchal blessing. What a special time in your life to be able to focus on such important and amazing things! I remember when you had your blessing and thinking that Heavenly Father truly has amazing things in store for you. I have been looking for my blessing and can't seem to find it at the moment. But I remember that in mine it states that my children will be stalwart examples of the Gospel. I have remembered that my entire life as I have raised all of you. I have known that you would each have a special witness and testimony of your Savior and Father in Heaven. I have always felt that part of my mission on this earth was to share my testimony with you kids. I love that you were able to feel such a strong spirit at the Baptism you went to. I have always loved to attend Primary Baptisms or any Baptism for that matter. The spirit is always so strong. When you were Baptised, I remember Julie Gibb coming to me and telling me that she had never felt a spirit so strong at a Baptism until your Baptism. You have always been one to focus on the better things and the spirit can be felt when people are with you. You are an example. Your mission Farewell was the same. Your focus was so purely on your Savior. And I remember that was your "Why" . You decided to serve because of your love of the Savior. That is an incredible reason. As you continually remember your "Why", your ability to receive revelation, Your ability to feel your savior's love, you will easily lose yourself in the work. I am so proud of you for learning Charity. I know you said it was easy to get along with people at home. Heavenly Father wants us to grow and that is why it isn't easy. We grow when we are challenged. Look at how much you have learned from each of your companions. You have learned patience, you have learned to slow down, you have learned to teach and be taught, you have learned to be humble and forgiving, you have learned that you can't control many things, you have learned perservierence and hard work and so so much more. And all of that in less than a year! That is incredible! You are not missing out, You are exactly where you need to be and doing exactly what you need to be doing! I am so proud of you! I have been thinking about your vaccine and hope it went well and you are feeling good! I love you with all my heart and I am proud of you every day! Love, Mom
