Thoughts from Dad-Feburary 16, 2021

Here is my thought for today. One of my many favorite parts from the Book of Mormon is King Benjamin's address to his people in Mosiah chapters 2-5. Many years ago, I used to share a verse from chapter 5 with the young men about how we know God by having him close to our thoughts. My thought to you tonight is from Mosiah 4:27. And see that all these things are done in wisdom and order; for it is not requisite that a man should run faster than he has strength. And again, it is expedient that he should be diligent, that thereby he might win the prize; therefore, all things must be done in order. Heavenly Father and Jesus know the "order" of things for you while you serve your mission. By staying close to them and seeking out their inspiration, you can know that order for yourself and you can know that your missionary service is acceptable to them. It doesn't mean that you will be perfect. And your best may be different than someone else's best. However, by doing things in wisdom and order, you will "run" at the speed that you can, AND that speed will be exactly what the Lord has in store for you. I love you and have a great night.
