McClain Easton Attachments Mon, Feb 15, 2021, 11:17 AM to me Hey everyone, hope you are all having a great week! We have some big news from this week. On Saturday night, Yolanda accepted an invitation to be baptized, and we are so excited for her. I have just been getting to know her over my two weeks in this area, but she is such a kind women with a strong desire to find more strength and comfort in her life, and baptism is such an awesome opportunity for her to find that. We can't wait to see how her life changes for the better as she takes this step to allow Christ to be the most powerful influence in her life. This week I have been settling into the new apartment, and here are some of the funny things going on so far: -The kitchen is always way too full during lunch and dinner with all 4 of us trying to get around -The apartment was pretty light at night, so we squished some cardboard over a window to block it out, looks horrible and works great -We like to through the football in the living room during meal times which is always a highlight -There is a cardboard box supporting my mattress because I am on the top bunk and the bed sinks way down in the middle -We have downgraded from 4 couches in my last apartment to just 1, but the one here is definitely the best -We taught our second English class this week! So probably not too exciting for everyone reading this, but thats some of the fun stuff we have going on around here! This week I loved John 14:18, I spent a lot of time searching the scriptures to find ways that the Savior provides us comfort, and this verse really stuck out. Jesus is telling his disciples not to worry after he is gone, and this is what he tells them: "18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." Super simple, but so important to remember. He is always with you, always comforting you! Thanks for reading, have a great week everyone!
